POLICY FOR QUALITY, THE ENVIRONMENT, AND THE PROTECTION OF WORKERS’ FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS

Tipolitografia Rongoni Srl, in order to guarantee the quality of its products and limit the environmental impact of its activities, in line with EU objectives for reducing packaging waste, has adopted the following policies for quality and the environment:

• Manufacture products that comply with contractual specifications and current regulations, guaranteeing customers the highest levels of reliability and continuity over time.
• Support the use of FSC®-certified raw materials for the manufacture of paper/cardboard packaging which, through the affixing of FSC labels, promote conscious consumption by customers and end users.
• Designing and manufacturing packaging that reduces its environmental footprint (carbon footprint) by conducting studies and analyses on the product life cycle and defining solutions that can limit the amount of CO2 produced.
• Actively contributing to actions aimed at preserving natural resources by minimizing any risk of being directly or indirectly involved in the following activities:
  • Illegal logging or trade in wood or forest products;
  • Violation of traditions and human rights in forestry operations;
  • Destruction of forests with high conservation value;
  • Significant conversion of forests to plantations or conversion to non-forest use;
  • Introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations;
  • Violation of any core ILO (International Labor Organization) Convention, as defined in the International Labor Organization Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
• Design, develop, and progressively distribute products with low environmental impact and compostability requirements that meet EU standards and reduce waste toxicity by limiting the presence of harmful substances through the use of certified compostable materials, water-based paints, and low-grade glues.
• Prevent any risks of environmental pollution by constantly monitoring all potential sources of pollution within the company and by constantly monitoring compliance with environmental and waste management regulations.
• Ensure adequate protection for all workers within our organization by adopting the following fundamental principles:
  • Combating all forms of child labor by making every effort to comply with national legislation on the employment of minors.
  • Prohibiting all forms of forced or compulsory labor, basing working relationships on mutual consent and prohibiting all forms of threat or punishment.
  • Complying with the conditions set out in national collective agreements for the sector.
  • Ensuring the absence of any form of discrimination based on age, gender, nationality, color, or religion.
  • Recognizing the freedom of association and the effective right to collective bargaining for all personnel.
  • Offering all personnel the opportunity to report any violation of the rules anonymously or explicitly, guaranteeing absolute protection against any possible form of retaliation.

To achieve these objectives, Tipolitografia Rongoni Srl has allocated resources, identified responsibilities and tasks, and implemented ongoing monitoring of the results achieved.
